Abstract
Jim Melcher is a professor of Political Science at the University of Maine at Farmington. Every September for Constitution Day at UMF, he reviews Supreme Court cases from the previous term. Because he spoke at the Library in May this year, he was able to cover four cases from the previous term and three from the current one. As you may have heard in the news, the rulings on Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard and 303 Creative v. Elenis were recently handed down. Here's the full list of cases reviewed: Shurtleff v. Boston
Carson v. Makin
Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health
New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen
National Pork Producers v. Ross
Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard/UNC
303 Creative v. Elenis.
